The Compassionate Friends

Three Little Birds
Our mission is tri-fold – 1. We provide immediate and long-term support to families experiencing the loss of a pregnancy and baby through various peer-assisted programs and services. 2. We aid in the education and training of medical professionals so they can best support the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of perinatal loss families. 3. Along with the thousands of other perinatal loss advocates, we work to #shatterthestigma of pregnancy and infant loss globally.
Pockets of Light
Pockets of Light provides Support, Compassion and Hope for women and men who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy or infant.
Virtua Health
Virtua’s Infant Loss Support program is one of the few perinatal grief support groups in Southern New Jersey for parents who have experienced infant loss or miscarriage.
Virtua doctors, nurses and staff provide personalized bedside support to help parents say hello and goodbye to their baby and offer ways they can remember them:
Pictures, footprints, angel gowns, handmade blankets and hats.
Memory box and HOPING Bear keepsakes
HOPING/Unite grief support group (Helping Other Parents In Normal Grief)
In addition, the program offers follow-up support with phone calls, mailings, assistance with specialized resources, and an annual memorial service.

Miscarriage, perinatal loss, or the death of an infant is devastating for families. Coping with loss can be isolating and it can be difficult to find support. We’ve compiled resources to help families grieve and connect during this difficult time.

CarePlus New Jersey
The loss of a pregnancy, infant, or child brings unimaginable pain and grief, and can make you feel alone and lost. This virtual community offers support for parents who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, newborn death or termination of pregnancy, as well as to women who are pregnant following a loss.
Atlantic Health System
Our Perinatal Loss Support Group provides free and unconditional support for individuals and families that have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or the loss of an infant. Parents can connect with those who have experienced similar pain and help one another adjust to life without their expected child.
Englewood Health
We provide support for families who are coping with the death of a baby through pregnancy loss, stillbirth or during the first months of life. Our program provides education, memory-making and comfort resources, as well as offers monthly support programming and annual community events. We are also committed to ongoing perinatal bereavement education to support Englewood Health staff members in delivering the highest level of care to families who are experiencing a loss.
Valley Health System
A monthly self-help support group for parents who are experiencing perinatal grief due to stillbirth, miscarriage or infant loss. The group is led by a certified bereavement counselor. Reservations are not required.
