Oregon

Parental Rights After Miscarriage (as of October 2023): In Oregon, parents have the right to the release and burial of their child, and - if in a hospital setting - can request a disposition certificate. (Please note: A report is mandatory if stillbirth occurs after 20 weeks of gestation or if the baby weighs 12 ounces or more at the time of birth.)

Hope Clinic for Women

It is common for some who have gone through an abortion, miscarriage, or stillborn birth to experience thoughts and emotions that are difficult to process. These uneasy feelings can come on immediately or can suddenly hit you weeks, or even years, after the event. The most important thing to know is that you are not alone in this experience. Reaching out for support following a pregnancy loss is normal and encouraged. We offer peer support for those experiencing reproductive grief as well as referrals for mental health providers.
