Shady Grove Fertility

A miscarriage is challenging enough to experience under the best of circumstances, with the most support and understanding. However, during the pandemic it has been much harder due to social isolation and distancing from family, friends as well as medical caregivers. This virtual support group is being offered for those grieving the loss of a very much wanted baby in these stressful times.

The group is FREE for all participants.

Compass Christian Church

Our church family has experienced this pain and from this it has brought to our attention the need in our community to support these families. In honor of our babies Braxton Waitman and Braxton Wells and many other babies we have formed this relief to bring hope and show God's love to families during this time. We provide aid to families who have experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage, pregnancy loss, or early infant death. We want to provide emotional and spiritual support through a community of families that are on this journey with grief together.

Miscarriage Matters

Miscarriage Matters, Inc. is a 501(c)3 recognized charitable organization, offering global support to Mothers and Fathers devastated by Miscarriage or Stillbirth through programs that educate the public, inspire healing through service to others, and empower the hurting.

Aaliyah in Action

Aaliyah in Action provides women, birthing people and families comfort as they take steps toward healing after the loss of their baby. Walking out of the hospital, empty handed, a shell of your former self, can be debilitating. Aaliyah in Action seeks to provide one of the first steps in the healing process after perinatal loss, neonatal loss or infant death. One of the hardest, yet most important, elements to beginning this healing process is self-care.

Carilion Clinic

Carilion Clinic’s Forget-Me-Not program provides support to individuals and families who have experienced a loss through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, or death of a newborn or child up to one year of age. We believe that grief is not about “getting over” a loss or forgetting that it happened. Instead, it’s about remembering—acknowledging the loss and cherishing the memories.

While perinatal loss is all too common, each grief journey is individual. We realize that it is often comforting to be with others who understand what you are going through, so we offer support group gatherings as well as community events.

Diocese of Arlington

Society too often minimizes or ignores the loss and grief that families experience through infertility, miscarriage or stillbirth. The Catholic Diocese of Arlington supports you with prayer and resources as you seek to follow God's plan for your marriage.

The Diocese, through the Office of Marriage, Family and Respect Life, has developed an outreach ministry to accompany you and your spouse on your healing journey. Please visit OurFruitfulLove™️ to find out the resources available to you in the Diocese of Arlington.

MISS - Richmond

The death of a child is an experience that comes with many complex emotions. Because no one should feel they are alone in traveling this journey of grief, our facilitators, volunteers and members strive to create a community of support, compassion, validation, and emotional safety. Through our support groups, gatherings and events we provide bereaved families with connection to others who have walked this road of loss and pain. We understand and we are here. Each member and volunteer in our chapter has lived the experience of loss.
