Parental Rights After Miscarriage (as of October 2023): In South Dakota, parents have the right to the release and burial of their child, and - if in a hospital setting - will sign an authorization for final disposition. (Please note: A report is mandatory if stillbirth occurs after 20 weeks of gestation.)

Sioux Falls Infant Loss Support Group- Avera
Offers infant loss support for families that have encountered miscarriages, stillbirths or SIDS. Pre-registration required for a 6 week support group on Tuesdays 5:30-7:30pm.
